Enable or Disable Group Registration

RegFox gives you the flexibility to turn group registration on or off with just a few clicks. You can also personalize the button text for adding or saving additional registrants, customize the way people add multiple registrants to their order, and set a limit on the number of people who can register together.

Pro Tip: By default, your pages will have group registration turned on.

  • From the Pages screen, click the pencil icon on the page you'd like to edit

  • Hover over the Settings tab

  • Select Group Registration

  • Set Allow User to Add Multiple Registrants to Yes to let users register multiple people in a single order. Set this option to No to restrict each order to just one registrant

  • Use the Customize Registrant Terminology field to change the default button text to better match your event. Instead of the default "Add Registrant" button, you can customize the button to say things like "Add Golfer" or "Add Camper"

  • Choose whether registrants add others using According Style or Separate Pages

    • With Accordion Style, clicking "Add Another Registrant" reveals a dropdown form on the same page, stacking each registrant's details in a collapsible format. Click here to see how this option looks on your live page

    • With Separate Pages, clicking "Save Registrant" opens a pop-up, allowing the registrant to either add another registrant or move on to billing. Click here to see how this option looks on your live page

  • Use the Customize Text for "Next Step" Button field to customize the wording of the button that takes registrants to the next step. This option only applies if you’re using the Separate Pages setting

  • Check the Group Limit box to set the maximum number of people allowed to sign up in a single order

  • Click Save Now in the upper-right corner of your page to save your changes. Click Publish to publish these changes to your live page

Add Group Size Requirements

The Group Size Requirements feature lets you set a required number of registrants for specific registration options. For example, this can be useful if you are hosting a golf tournament and want to require four people to register when the "Foursome" option is selected. Here's how to use this option.

Pro Tip: Group Size Requirements can only be set on Registration Options fields. This feature isn’t available for Multiple Choice or other field types.

  • From the Pages screen, click the pencil icon on the page you'd like to edit

  • Navigate to your registration options field, and click the pencil icon

  • Toggle Group Size Requirements to Yes. This will turn on the ability to set a required group size for your registration option(s)

  • Navigate to the registration option you'd like to restrict. Next to Required Group Size, add your desired group size

  • In the Price field, enter the total amount to charge for the entire group. NOTE: When using Group Size Requirements, the price applies to the full group, not per person

  • Click Done

Registrant Experience

Once you've added Group Registration to your RegFox page, your registrants can add multiple registrants to a single order! If you set a Group Size requirement for a registration option, anyone selecting that option will be required to add the exact number of registrants specified.

Group Registration - Accordion Style Pages

If your page has Accordion Style pages, registrants who want to add another registrant will click the "Add Another Registrant" button. When this click this button, RegFox will reveal a dropdown form on the same page where they can add their new registrant's information. Each registrant's information will be stacked in a collapsible format.

Group Registration - Separate Pages

If your page has Separate Pages, registrants will click the "Save Registrant" button at the bottom of the page. Registrants who want to add another registrant will select the "Add Another Registrant" button.

After selecting this option, registrants can enter the registration information for the next registrant. If they later want to edit one of the previous registrants, they can go to the top of the page, and click the pencil icon next to the registrant they want to edit.

Group Size Requirement

If a registration option includes a group size requirement, that number of registrants will automatically be added to the page when selected. The main registrant can then complete the required fields for each group member before submitting the order.

FAQs

If a registrant selects a registration option that has a Required Group Size, can a user later add or remove registrants from the order?

No. If a registrant selected a registration option with a Required Group Size, a user will not be able to add or remove registrants later, even if they want to select a different registration option that doesn't have a required group size.

Can I add a group size requirements on a registration option if I have turned off Group Registration?

Yes! You can add a Group Size requirement to a registration option even if Group Registration is disabled in your Settings. If you have disabled Group Registration but have a group size requirement on one of your registration options, anyone who selects that specific option will automatically be required to complete registration details for each member of the group.

Registrants who choose other options without a group size requirement will only be able to register one person per order.
