On RegFox, you can allow registrants to check out faster and easier by enabling Google Pay and Apple Pay on your RegFox registration pages. Digital payments like Google Pay and Apple Pay allow registrants to quickly complete their purchase using payment methods that are already saved to their Google and Apple accounts.

In this guide, we'll walk you through the steps to activate Google Pay and Apple Pay for your events, so you can offer a seamless, mobile-friendly checkout experience and increase completed registrations.

Pro Tip: Google Pay and Apple Pay transactions are processed at your standard Webconnex Payments rate. There are no additional fees for using digital payments.

Note: Google Pay and Apple Pay are only available for customers processing with Webconnex Payments. If you are currently using a third-party payment processor and would like to offer Google Pay and/or Apple Pay as payment methods, we recommend adding a new Webconnex Payments processor, and switching your pages to this processor. Sign Up To Accept Apple Pay

The steps to sign up for Apple Pay differ depending on whether your organization is a nonprofit or for-profit. Below are the instructions for each type.

Sign Up as an Individual or a For-Profit Organization

  • From the top menu bar, hover over the Gear icon in the right-hand corner

  • Select Payment Processors from the dropdown

  • Find your Webconnex Payments processor, and click the pencil icon under this processor

  • Click Sign up for Apple Pay

  • Select that you are NOT a non-profit

  • Agree to the Apple Pay Terms and Conditions

  • Click Sign Up

Note: If you register as a for-profit organization and your account has published GivingFuel pages, Apple Pay will not appear as a payment method on those GivingFuel pages. Apple Pay is only available for non-profits in GivingFuel, so if you are a for-profit company, you will not see Apple Pay on your GivingFuel pages.

Sign Up as a Non-Profit Organization

Note: To accept funds through Apple Pay, non-profits must have a Candid seal of approval, with at least a Bronze-level seal. If you don't already have a Candid seal of approval, you can obtain one by registering your non-profit on the Candid website. This process takes approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.

  • From the top menu bar, hover over the Gear icon in the right-hand corner

  • Select Payment Processors from the dropdown

  • Find your Webconnex Payments processor, and click the pencil icon under this processor

  • Click Sign up for Apple Pay

  • Select that you are a non-profit

  • Enter your non-profit's EIN

  • Acknowledge that you have the Candid Seal of Transparency

  • Agree to the Apple Pay Terms and Conditions

  • Click Sign Up

  • See whether your Apple Pay signup was successful. If your signup was successful, click Save

    • If your sign up is successful, you will see your Apple Pay is active, and that you are eligible to use Apple Pay

    • If your non-profit doesn't have the Candid seal of transparency, you will see the message, "Unable to Complete Apple Pay Signup. We received the following message: "Your organization is ineligible. Please reach out to Donate_with_Apple_Pay@group.apple.com for further clarification." If you see this message, we recommend clicking the Manage Candid Profile button to register your non-profit with Candid and receive the Candid seal of transparency

    • If the EIN doesn't exist in Candid, you will see the message, "We received the following message: 'Not Found EIN: XX-XXXXXXX.' If you see this message, we recommend confirming that your EIN is valid, and re-entering this EIN if it was entered incorrectly the first time

Note: If you submit a valid EIN but do not yet have a Candid seal of transparency, RegFox will automatically check Candid's database every day after you sign up for Apple Pay to see if your organization has received a seal of transparency. Once your nonprofit is awarded a seal, Apple Pay will be automatically added to your account the following day. You can also manually retry verification after obtaining your Candid seal.

Please note: RegFox continues to check Candid's database daily, even after Apple Pay is enabled, to confirm that your nonprofit maintains its seal of transparency. If your account loses the seal of transparency or your Candid account becomes inactive, RegFox will automatically remove Apple Pay on all of your published RegFox pages. To avoid interruptions in processing Apple Pay transactions, be sure to keep your Candid account current.

Pro Tip: Once Apple Pay is activated on a Webconnex Payments processor, all pages using this processor will automatically offer Apple Pay as a payment option.

If you would prefer to exclude Apple Pay from a specific page, we recommend creating a separate Webconnex Payments processor that doesn't have Apple Pay enabled, and switching your RegFox page to this new processor.
