Set up a USB swiper to quickly enter registrants' card information for your on-site purchases

You can use a laptop and a USB swiper to quickly add a registrant's credit card information when selling registrants on-site

If you have an in-person event, you can use a laptop and USB card swiper to quickly capture card information for registrants who sign up in person. This makes on-site registration fast and efficient.

Pro Tip: When using this feature, we recommend using the swiper found here.

Any swiper that emulates an HID keyboard will work for this feature.

Enable USB Swiping on Your RegFox Page

  • Find your page's published URL. To find this URL, go to the Pages tab in the top menu bar, and click the up arrow in the upper right-hand corner of the page you would like to see

  • Find the URL, and add #swipe to the end of your page's URL

  • Refresh your page, and copy your page's new URL if needed

  • When you scroll down to the bottom of the page, confirm that you see the "swipe card when ready" field appear. This confirms that your page is ready for USB Swiping

FAQs

Will using a USB credit card swiper pre-fill the billing address?

A USB swiper will only pre-fill credit card information and billing name. It will not fill in billing address.
