Dynamic SMS Text Messages give you the power to send the right message to the right people at the right time, by knowing who has arrived on-site and who has not.

You can send a text message minutes or hours after someone checked-in to your event.

Examples of how people use this feature:

  • Welcome your attendee to your event

  • Invite attendees to visit the sponsor booth to redeem their free gift

  • Send a message only to attendees who had a VIP registration and let them know about their exclusive offers

  • Remind people about attractions or happenings taking place and their times and locations

  • Ask attendees to rate their experience hours after they arrived and then based on their rating invite them to leave a review or to give you feedback

  • Send a link to register for next year's event 12 hours after they were scanned in

Jump to...

Create a Dynamic Message

  • From the Pages screen, click Text Messaging from the top menu bar

  • Select Dynamic Messages on the left side of the screen

  • Click the blue Create Dynamic Message button
    โ€‹

Customize your message

  • Name your message (this is for internal purposes)

  • Select which Page you'd like the message to send to

  • Set any desired filters such as limiting the message to only send to certain Registration Options or Order Date

  • Select the number of minutes or hours after they are checked-in to send the text

NOTE: If you select multiple pages for one Dynamic Message, the ability to filter your message by Registration Options or Order Date will disappear. This is only available when sending to one page at a time.

Before saving, you can always click the link to Send a Test Message.

Inactive vs Delete

Once you save your Dynamic Message, you can then copy, edit, view, or delete it. Once you save it, you will no longer be able to edit the message settings, only the message content itself.

If you try to set the Dynamic Message to Inactive and there are any messages in the queue, they will still be sent. If you want to halt all future messages from sending, including those in the queue, Delete the dynamic message.

NOTE: Character count includes message text, account name and opt-out language. Carriers will bill the message as two when using more than 160 characters.
