Hosts & Guests are attendees (with special permissions) of your RegFox Live meeting. This article will teach you how to invite them to the event and what they will see when they get there.
π You can add up to 10 hosts/guests in total.
Host
A host is someone invited to lead the session. Hosts can promote guests to stage, remove a guest off the stage, ban a guest from chat, unmute guests, share screens with the audience, and chat with each other privately. The first 6 hosts will automatically be put onto the stage. However, a host can remove themselves offstage if needed.
Guest
A guest is an attendee that doesn't have to register. Some common examples are the spouse of a speaker or a VIP. They can see the people on stage but they do not have mic/camera permissions until a host invites them to stage. When leaving the stage, their mic/camera will automatically turn off.
Add Hosts & Guests to Your Meetings
Select The Hosts & Invited Guests tab under the Digital Access dropdown in your page builder
Select Add Host or Guest
Provide the name of the Host/Guest, select their role, and select the meetings you'd like them to access.
Note: The email field is optional
Copy the codes and/or links and share them with your hosts.
Adding the host will create an access code and access link to give them access to the rooms. The access link is hyperlinked to their access code.
When the host clicks on the invite link, they will enter their name and join the room with host permissions.
The Host
From the Host's main screen, they will see the options to mute, start/stop their video, share their screen, leave the stage (stop presenting), end the meeting or leave the meeting.
They will also see the permissions (to mute, add to stage, or start their video) for the other hosts and guests.
By clicking this icon, the host can view a chat with other hosts. This is helpful for sharing information that will keep the session running smoothly.
Additionally, the host can see the chat and questions channels. This allows for detailed interaction with the guests.
The Guest
The guest will have the same experience as a registrant. The guest view (see below) has fewer permissions. They can request to join the stage or leave the meeting. They also can view the chat and question channels, and see the other attendees as they join the meeting.
